When it comes to hair, there’s pink, pink and more pink , but whichever color you choose, it can be hard to maintain. We spoke to professional stylist Tyler Moore from Live True London to give us the inside scoop on a pink hair makeover, including how to achieve, maintain and lengthen your barbieko hair.
How can we have cotton candy hair like Megan Fox?
To get such a light shade, you usually need to bleach your hair first, even if you’re already a blonde,” says Tyler Moore. Your hairdresser will then adjust your lighter hair to get a good base for using a soft pink dye. An overall color like this can be very easy to maintain, especially a color like pink, so a soft pink balayage may be a good choice for a more casual look.”
If you’re considering dying your hair pink, what are the main considerations?
“Pink can fade quickly! Invest in some color-safe hair care products at home and make sure to go back to the salon to get your color looking fresh. There are also many options to keep your hair bright between salon sessions, such as colored conditioner drops or colored hair masks. Depending on how often you wash your hair, you will be touching up your hair color every one to two weeks.”
