While some consider boots to be winter footwear, I believe they transcend seasons. So when I stumbled upon a pair of Steve Madden Jones boots ($130) while browsing Nordstrom a few weeks ago, I didn’t hesitate to grab them—and I’m so glad I did. These boots instantly became the star of my shoe collection, and I want to convince you they’re absolutely worth adding to yours.
My Review of Steve Madden Jones Boots
First, let’s talk comfort. While I’m not averse to shoes that pinch my feet (I consider myself quite fashion-forward when it comes to pain tolerance), Steve Madden’s Jones boots are seriously comfortable. On my first day wearing them, I walked nearly 12,000 steps without any soreness or blisters. The leather upper is incredibly soft, and the thick sole paired with a 2-inch heel feels both cushioned and supportive. I’ve worn them in both 14°F (-10°C) and 81°F (27°C) weather, and they performed flawlessly. (I wouldn’t call them warm winter boots, but I was pleasantly surprised they didn’t overheat my feet even in summer-like weather.) As for sizing, I typically wear a size 11 in most shoes, and these fit true to size. I also want to highlight Steve Madden’s sizing range: these boots come in sizes 5 through 14.
Now, about the look. I absolutely adore the style of these boots (I was initially drawn to them because they closely resemble The Row’s Zipped Boot I, which unfortunately retails for a whopping $1,490—well beyond my budget). The silhouette is sleek, with a 6.5-inch shaft that hits perfectly at the lower calf. The silver zipper provides a striking contrast against the black leather upper. These boots also come in eight other colors and materials, ranging from tan suede to beige leather with faux fur trim. But I adore my black leather pair because it’s incredibly versatile (though I also love the brown suede option). So far, I’ve paired these Jones boots with black, white, and blue jeans, chinos, poplin shorts, and even a mini dress.
And I’m definitely not the only one obsessed. One Steve Madden reviewer (in a comment titled “Classic, No Need to Say More”) raved: “I bought these boots in September and recently grabbed another pair on sale. They’re my lifesavers—so comfortable I wore them all winter, and they still look amazing. I wish I could hoard them like eggs or toilet paper.“ Another reviewer added: ”I bought them after hearing so many rave reviews, and they truly live up to the hype. They’ve become an absolute staple in my wardrobe.”
Ultra-soft material
Not my cup of tea
Might be too bold for some tastes.
Finally, on price—I think $130 is absolutely worth it. They look way more expensive than they actually are. I’ll admit, some Steve Madden shoes do look a bit cheap in person, but the Jones boots are so exquisitely designed you’ll swear they cost far more than they do. Though I snagged mine on sale (thanks, Nordstrom!), I’d happily pay full price given how versatile they are.
Will you join me in ditching the notion that boots are only for fall and winter? Let’s rock Steve Madden Jones boots no matter the weather.
